How to running one CNC Tandem Press Brakes or Tridem Press brakes?
Like most single cnc press brakes, cnc tandem brakes also are cnc controlled, it's combine 2 machiens working together, or we can design 3 machines working together for CNC Tridem Press brakes, top beam depth accuracy and repeatability are achieved with linear scales, which will read and monitoring the actual position of Y1&Y2 main cylinders and send feedback to DELEM CNC bending controller. Instead of reading two cylinders positions for a single press, CNC tandem or tridem press brakes read the positioning of four or six linear scales adjusting accordingly.
CNC tandem press brake can be controlled either from a single controller panel to bending longer sheet for tandem &tridem press brake, or they can be operated independently as two or three separate press brakes, delem da58t or da66t cnc controller can share cnc programing setting with another press brake from one single bending machine.
When these 2 pressbrakes are operated as a tandem bending unit, it is important that both bending machines are set up and calibrated properly before linkage them. While important for single pressing setup, calibration is even more crucial for tandem brakes. This starts with the mechanical features of the machines: top beam, lower beam and tooling system. If these items are not properly aligned, quality longer sheet material bends will not be achieved when execute tandem sheet bends.
Once each press brake mnechanical parts are setting up with synchro moving or adjusting, you need to ensure function are all good for each machine . Any issue from one of the tandem press brake will affect the tandem bending operation of both. Like one linear scales is misrepresenting the position of the Y1 cylinder on one side of the tandem, the tandem press brake will not be able to deliver consistency in the final bending angle of the full tandem length of sheet bending. Additionally like auto backgauges and crowning devices will have to be working in precise conjunction with one another to ensure proper part quality.
Running tandem press brake just like you operate single press, you must be keep in mind of bending tonnage rating of the machine. CNC tandem press brake bending tonnage not means any bending location can get double bending pressure except with full length sheet tandem bending applications.
