AHYW  metal synchro brakes press are equipped with a fast and precise 2-axis CNC controlled pressbrake back gauge. Optionally we offer a 4 Axis CNC back gauge (X-R-Z1-Z2) With this back gauge system the CNC press brake control calculates the depth, height and width of the back gauge fingers. This pressbrake back gauge features superior accuracy and speed. This translates to more correct parts at the end of the day.

This 4 axis cnc auto metal synchro brakes press back gauge is accomplished with high quality components such as Japan Yaskawa Servo Motors and drives. Also all full auto back gauge moving Taiwan brand ball screw and linear guide. X Axis speeds are programmable to 400mm/s(options to 600mm/s) with accuracy to 0.05mm, pressbrake fingers are located on linear hardened precision ground dual  linear rails. CNC crowning ensures a constant bending angle across the full length of the machine. This is achieved by pre loading the machine, to offset any possible deflection under load or compensate for any tool wear, so that under load contacting surfaces are parallel to each other.

With CNC crowning systems the press brake control is preprogrammed with machine characteristics and deflection data, cnc press brake controller will determine the crowning value automatically according to bending parameters which operator enter the program per sheet metal bending profiles, operator also can micro adjust the crowning value by manual if the final bending results are not so perfect.

It gives sheet metal fabricators an air-powered option for clamping and seating front and back tools simultaneously with the touch of a button. This quick-change  press brake clamps technology allows bending machine operators to reduce setup time by eliminating the need to hand-tighten set screws and manually seat punches.The clamp holds small punch sections securely. How to Choose an Appropriate Tooling System for your press brake?

 

How to choose the right press brake tools for bending has always been an issue. The tooling system consists of an top punch and bottom dies.

Press brake technicians choose punches and dies to account for the material thickness, the bending radius, and the method of bending. To punch angle must be equal to or less than the lower dies bending angle.The tooling system bending angle combination should help you compensate for material  springback, this is the material’s tendency to relax a degree or two when released from the pressure applied to make the bending shapes. Lower die opening must be of a size appropriate for the desired inside bending  radius.

When you are consider choose the correct lower dies, V opening can not too small, otherwise it will be damage the metal part and possibly raise the bending pressure to dangerous levels. If choose too large opening of a die, you could be bending one large radius of profiles, which changes the bend’s elongation value while taking your part out of tolerance.

There are many different bottom die profiles. Most popular tool is the lower V die opening followed by the channel die. Choosing a lower die width regardless of the die profile. If the inside bending radius is equal to the material thickness, lower dies V opening equal to eight times the material thickness.  Special the bottom die opening should be 10  to 12 times the sheet thickness, especially for thick materials or high tensile strength material, up to 20 times than material thickness.

If the nose radius on the punch is too small, it will penetrate the material’s surface, causing a crease in the center of the bend.

One of the lowest cost ways of hemming bending , called hammer or flattening toolset. this is nothing more than a flat-faced punch and die set, which serves to smash the metal edge down after it’s been bent to an approximate 30 acute angle. Normally this bending cycle requires two separate sets of tooling , one set for bending acute shape, another tool set for flattening them to the targe shapes.

Also there have another U-shaped combination hemming tool.  Use 1 28 degree top punch to bending the sheet first,  Pressing  operator pulls the workpiece back temporarily so the punch can slide down into the die’s U-shaped V opening, Flattening position located a little higher up on the punch completes the operation by forcing the workpiece against the top surface of the U, thus flattening the edges to sheet shapes.
