RIGID FRAME CONSTRUCTION & DUAL HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS
The foundation of every Ahyawei metal sheet CNC press brake is a solid, mono-block frame made from mill certified, high-yield steel. As a result our press brakes perform accurately and reliably year after year. We’re so confident in our frames that we offer a 10-year warranty with our standard machines.
Dual hydraulic cylinders located on either side of the ram provide faster approach speeds. The cylinders are synchronized to provide smooth motion resulting in precise ram positions to high accuracies.

How Consistent for Your Metal Sheet Bending Material?
For your traditional hydraulic press brake, you’re bottoming with fixed final bending angle, which means you’re basically pressing the punch nose radius inside to steel the material. When bottoming bending , minor variations in the material such as thickness, material grain direction, and yield strength do not affect the bending angle too much. Actually,bottom bending takes away through force most if not all of the issues that material variation can cause. Still, that same bending forces can damage the press brake and tooling if done incorrectly. Bottoming is a valid option for metal bending, but it does require a different skill set from air bending.
Air bending also can produce exceptional parts, but if your material is inconsistent, the bending method can have issues that manifest as angular variations. All this is made worse as the die opening gets narrower relative to the same material thickness.
Note that inconsistent material can still be within the mill’s thickness and strength tolerance.Like A36 has an average tensile strength of 60,000 PSI. But it also has a tensile strength tolerance from 55,000 to 79,800 PSI, along with a minimum yield strength of 36,000 PSI. Now add that to the thickness tolerance zone from 1.3 to 1.8 for 3mm thick sheet material, That is a lot of variation, but it’s still within the material tolerances. On top of all that, you also have to consider the natural grain direction of the steel material. Bending with and against the grain requires different amounts of bending pressure.
CNC controller can only assume the averages of these values when calculating the bending angle and benidng depth of punches penetration into the lower die space. It is common to make some angle adjustments at the press brakes to compensate for the material variations.

Manual and CNC crowning ensures a constant bend angle across the full length of the machine. This is achieved by pre loading the machine, to offset any possible deflection under load or compensate for any tool wear, so that under load contacting surfaces are parallel to each other.
With CNC hydraulic crowning systems the press brake control is preprogrammed with machine characteristics and deflection data.
